P.G. Department of Commerce & Management

* Organised Annual State Level Inter-College Competition "Dishyen 2016" in the memory of Late Sh. O.P. Shingla, former general secretary of the College Managing Committee in which students of different colleges of Haryana participated in Declamation, Collage Making, Dancing & Singing competition.

*Organised DGHE sponsored two days National Conference on "Make in India : Opportunities & Challenges of Indian Economy" in which more than 350 delegates participated from different institutions of India and presented their valuable research papers.

* Organised extension lecture in which experts such as Zubin Mehta Dr. Prerna Dawar from N.C. College, Dr. Anil Soni from D.A.V. College, Jalandher delivered valuable talks on pertinent topics.

*Organised educational tour of Akshardham, Delhi and World of Wonder Noida.

P. G. Department of Economics

                Kuatilya Economic Association of the Economics deptt. Invited Prof. S.K. Bansal from Delhi University and Dr. Ashok Chauhan from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in one day National Seminar on ‘Environmental Economics and Issues of Inequality and Corruption in Indian Society’. Economics Deptt. along with Commerce deptt. of the college organized two days DGHE sponsored National Conference on “Make in India : Opportunities and Challenges in India Economy”. The deptt. also organised Diagram Making, Mock Teaching, Poster Making, Model building Competitions. Various students of the deptt. participated in Debate/Essay writing competitions/National/International Conferences held elsewhere and digitalized various topics of Economics at Post graduate level.

Department of Computers

* Organised State Level Inter-College Technical Fest "Zerone 2016" in which students from different colleges of Haryana participated in Rangoli, Bug hunt, Jugling, Quiz, Declamation and Poster making competitions.

* Organised workshop on Android application & soft skill techniques for the faculty & students.

* 14 Students got placed in renowned companies Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Virtusa and Tech Mahindra.

Department of Chemistry

* Organised DST, New Delhi sponsored one day 5th National Conference on "Chemical Sciences : Emerging Scenerio & Global Challanges" in which more than 200 delegates of number of colleges & universities from all over India participated & presented their research papers.

* Eminent Scientist such as Dr. Amlendu Pal, Dr. S.P. Singh, Dr. Pawan Sharma from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra were invited for extension lectures on different topics.

Department of Physics & Electronics

* Department of Physics organised two days DGHE & HSCST Sponsored National Conference and workshop on “Recent Advances in Science & Technology 2016”. The deptt. also organised  Zonal, State Level Debate Competition, Tour Programme for Students and invited reputed speakers such as Dr. Shyam Kumar and Dr. Anurekha Sharma from KUK, Dr. R.P. Chauhan from NIT, Kurukshetra, Dr. Sushil Kumar from CDLU, Dr. Rajesh Kumar from IP University Delhi, Dr. Ajay Kumar from DRDO and Dr. Krishan Kant from Ballabgarh for the extension lecture.

Department of Botany

                The Deptt. developed the Botanical Garden with 250 different types of plants & organised one day workshop to train the students different types of Horticultural techniques. The Deptt. also organised Botanical Photography Exhibition in which photograph of 300 plants were demonstrated. Excursion tours of different places were also organised.

Department of  Zoology

                The department organised two days workshop in which large number of students participated in Poster Making, Collage Making, Photography & Slogan Writing competitions. Dr. Neelam Arya of Forensic Science laboratory, Madhuban was invited for a extension lecture in the deptt.

Department of Mathematics

                The department organised inter-college Quiz contest in which students participated actively. It also invited reputed mathematician for the extension lecture & organised educational tour for the students.

Department of Home Science & Fashion Designing

* The students of the department participated in a number of workshops on Glass & Pot Painting, Fabric Painting, Modern Art, and visited export houses in Panipat.

* The students visited the exhibition on Embroidery at Indira Gandhi Art Centre, New Delhi and learned a lot about new techniques of Embroidery.

Department of Mass Communication & Journalism

*  Bureau Chief, Total T.V., Mr. Devender Kathuria delivered a lecture on "Career in Electronic Media".

*  Assistant Public Relation Officer, Panipat, Mr. Deepak Parashar delivered a lecture on "Career in Public Relations".

*  One Day Workshop was organized on "Communication Skills in Media". Director, All India Radio, Rohtak, Dr. Ramphal Chahal was invited.

*  One Day Workshop was organized on "Video Editing". Video Editor, Doordarshan, Hisar, Mr. Deepak Kumar was invited.

*  Dr. P .K. Jena, Professor, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and  Technology, Hisar, delivered a lecture on "Media and Society" on the occasion of the publication of 100th Edition of Prerna (College News Letter).

*  Ms. Pooja Rana, Professor, Amity University, delivered a lecture on "Career in Media: Opportunities & Challenges".

*  Students of Mass Communication Department visited Head Office of Haryana News Channel situated at Gurgaon.

*  State Level Inter-college Media Fest (Prerna Utsav-2016) was organized successfully.

Department of English

                The Deptt. organised State level Debate & Poetic Competition and arranged a special show of 'Macbeth' movie based on Shakespeare’s play for the students of Post graduate classes. Prof. (Mrs.) Sunita Siroha of the department of English of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra was invited for an extension lecture.

Department of Hindi

*  Invited Dr. Vinod Taneja, ex-faculty GDNU Amritsar for extension lecturer.

*  Students participated in a number of events such as Debate, Declamation, Poetic Recitation competition organised elsewhere in Haryana and won a number of prizes. Indu, Yatin, Vandana, Himani, Prince Vaid, Nandita, Geet, Shruti etc. of the college deserve special appreciation as they always secured top positions in above mentioned events held elsewhere.

*  Organised Debate / Declamation / Hair Style Competitions in which students actively participated.

Department of Music (Instrumental & Vocal)

                Music (Vocal) dept. organized a five day workshop in which Dr. Ravi Gautam was invited to train the students in group song Haryanvi & group song general. The Deptt. also invited Dr. Hukam Chand, Dr. Swati Sharma & Subash Arya from MDU Rohtak for presenting songs on Raag Bhim Plassy and Raag Bhairvi. Ashutosh Sharma from Kurukshetra performed on Guitar.

                Music (Instrumental) deptt. organized One Day Workshop in which students learned the technical aspects of Sitar and Raagas. The deptt. also organized Instrumental based Painting & Model building competitions. Dr. Neelu Khalsa Head of the deptt. led the 40 students delegation in World Cultural Festival organised in New Delhi in which delegates from 135 countries participated.

Department of BTM

*  Mr. Rohit Juneja from Lama Tour Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi was invited for the Guest Lecture.

*  World Tourism Day was celebrated with great pomp and show.

*  Mr. Munish from Budha Tour & Travel Pvt. Ltd., Panipat was invited for Guest Lecture.

*  A four day tour was organised for Udaipur, Mount Abu (Rajasthan), Dalhousie, Khajjiair and Mata Vaishno Devi.

*  Organised State Level Running Trophy Competition.

*  Dr. Mohinder Chand from Deptt. Of Tourism & Hotel Management, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra was invited for Guest lecture.

Gandhian Study Centre

                Gandian Studt Centre of the college organized one day UGC Sponsored National Conference on “Mahatma Gandhi & Social Harmony in Contemporary Society” in which more than 100 delegates from different institutions participated. Dr. K.L. Tuteja & Dr. P.K. Shuke highlighted the importance of Gandhi for the present generations.
