3rd National Conference on Advances in Chemical & Environmental Sciences
Department of Chemistry , Arya PG College, organized a two days National Conference on Advances in Chemical and Environmental Sciences in Association with The Indian Science Congress Association: Haridwar Chapter on 27-28th Feb. On the first day of the seminar Sh. Surender Shingla Ji, General Secretary of College Management Committee, lighted the lamp with Dr. KC Ralhan, Registrar of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Professor Vivek Gupta sang Saraswati Vandana and paid his holy tribute to the Goddess of education.
In his welcome note Dr. Jagdish Gupta welcomed all the spoke persons, guests and all the members of the college. He also highlighted the major achievements of the college. The Head of the Department of Chemistry Dr. Anil Verma paid his thanks to all the guests and wished that the conference would stimulate the minds of the scholars who want to excel in the field of chemistry. The chairperson of the Department of Chemistry, Professor Amalendu Pall expressed his valuable views on the importance of chemistry not only in academics but also in personal life. He expressed his deep concern over the slow rate of progress and standard of chemistry in comparison to China. He also added that one should avoid short cuts in the field of Research.
