BACHELOR OF TOURISM MANAGEMENT
The important of the contribution in tourism to the economy of country & community is well recognised. The development of tourism industry is not only a rich source of earning income but also provide the gateway of exchange of cultural heritage of a region or place with the rest of the world. It is from this notion that tourism has been considered a social phenomenon offering opportunity, getting involved with other culture and social changes that its development bring along.The increase in the flow of tourist to different destinations has triggered the development of various primary services essential for tourism to take place such as banking, areal & terrestrial transportation, lodgings, eateries, group services, and other complementary services such as elaboration of crafts and entertainments. This way development of tourism management is also essential for enhancing employment opportunities. The course curriculum of BTM programme is so designed to empower the students with necessary skills for not only harvesting employment opportunities but also for spreading the holistic cultural diversity.
Minimum Eligibility Conditions
1) A student who has passed one of the following examinations with English as one of the subjects shall be eligible to join BTM Part-I.
2)Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 standard) of the Board of School Education, Haryana, Bhiwani or any examination recognised by Kurukshetra University equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks.
